Moving to a big city and feeling like you don’t belong is something that I’m all too familiar with. You feel out of place, left of center, and have a unique perspective on life that can’t be boxed in with the status quo. Kailee sent me her music a few years ago, and seeing her navigate the music industry while staying true to who she is reminded me a lot of the struggles I went through. When Kailee’s album “Girl Next Door” came out last week, it not only touched fans on a visceral level, but it touched me emotionally. She embodies the good and bad - and everything in between, letting her fans know that every phase is okay. Processing old and new traumas is okay, and sharing that with the world is a vulnerable trait few have. Kailee Morgue is punk, she's SWIXXZ, but most importantly, she's here to stay. Go stream her new album asap.
